Open Water Foundation / InfoMapper (for Developers)

This documentation provides resources to learn how to develop the Open Water Foundation (OWF) InfoMapper software, which is a web application to display maps and other information products. See also:

The InfoMapper software is under development as an open source software project at the Open Water Foundation. Core features are stable. However, additional changes will occur as the software is used on multiple projects.

This documentation is intended for InfoMapper developers that have (or would like to acquire) experience with Angular, GeoProcessor, and TSTool software. The Open Water Foundation uses Visual Studio Code as the development tool, although other tools can be used.

The primary development environment is currently Windows 10. The primary deployment environment is Amazon web services.

About the Open Water Foundation

The Open Water Foundation is a nonprofit social enterprise that focuses on developing and supporting open source software for water resources, so that organizations can make better decisions about water. OWF also works to advance open data tools. The InfoMapper, which focuses on publishing information products, complements the GeoProcessor and TSTool software, which focus on on workflow automation and creating information products. These tools can be used to analyze complex water and land issues.
